Harbor Half Marathon & Relay
Harbor Half

Join JA on Sunday, October 19th for the fourth annual Harbor Half Marathon & Relay presented by Valero.  The Harbor Half benefits JA programs in the Coastal Bend region and has many unique features beginning with a footrace across Corpus Christi's Harbor Bridge.  It is the highest half in Texas and will be guaranteed to challenge even the most seasoned runners.

Adult runners can choose to participate in the half marathon or run in the Valero Corporate Cup Challenge by entering as a team.

Sponsored by H-E-B and scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, the Kids' Marathon is a great way to challenge children to participate in a fitness program that is fun and focused with a purpose - not to mention beneficial to the community, their peers, and themselves.

Help JA make this year's Harbor Half bigger and better than the last, and create a lasting impact in the Coastal Bend.  To find out more about the Harbor Half Marathon & Relay, please visit www.harborhalf.com or contact Jayne Woodall at 361.884.6561.

JA Exploring Economics
New Program Introduction

JA Exporing Economics
Developed for high school, JA Exploring Economics fosters lifelong skills and knowledge about how an economy works, including micro-, macro-, personal, and international economics.  By making economics engaging and relatable, JA Exploring Economics helps students better understand the impact they have on the economy as consumers and taxpayers, and teaches important personal financial lessons around spending, saving, and investing.

This seven session program, as well as all JA programs, is designed to support the skills and competencies identified by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills.  JA's programs also augment school-based, work-based, and connecting activities for communities with school-to-work initiatives.
