Capital One/Junior Achievement Finance Park™, the mobile version of JA Finance Park™, is set to return to San Antonio this May. The program helps students develop skills in financial literacy and work readiness. During the site visit, the culmination of 19 hours of classroom learning, each student will become an adult for the day. All students will be responsible for planning a monthly budget for themselves and their fictional families. To learn more, go here.

Volunteers Needed!

To ensure a successful visit, we need approximately 10 volunteers daily to provide guidance to students as they plan their budgets. Volunteers will need to:

• Commit to volunteer from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm on the day of the site visit. Training will be provided from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. and students will arrive shortly thereafter. This training provides volunteers with the opportunity to understand the in-class program as well as the on-site schedule and procedures. Volunteers gain firsthand knowledge and experience about their role in assisting the students.

• Share your life experience with students at JA Finance Park (located at the former Blockbuster Video store adjacent to H-E-B on the southwest corner of San Pedro and Oblate (6831 San Pedro, San Antonio, TX 78216).
