Every year, local companies hit the lanes to bowl for a good cause at JA’s Howdy Partners Bowl-A-Thon! Enjoy a day filled with friendly competition, team spirit, and plenty of fun while raising critical funds to support JA students. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a bowling pro to make a big impact—just bring your energy and enthusiasm!
Proceeds from the event help JA deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences to more than 91,000 students across South Texas—equipping young people with the skills to manage their money, think like entrepreneurs, and step confidently into the workplace. And yes, your donations are tax-deductible!

Getting Started is Easy!
- Form Your Team – A team captain rounds up six enthusiastic players.
- Raise Support – Each bowler collects pledges from family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
- Hit the Lanes – Show up at the bowling alley on your scheduled day and enjoy two fun-filled games with your team!
That’s it! But don’t forget—you can boost your fundraising by using the Online JA Bowl-A-Thon HQ. It’s never been easier to request pledges through email and social media.
As soon as you create your user login, you can start sending email requests, track who donated (and how much), and see your personal progress. Team captains can even view the status of their bowlers and team totals in real time.
